Chemistry Acid Solution
I believe you need to be specific with the description of the hydrogen gas test.
A pure metal such as magnesium is added to the solution in a test tube, producing gas bubbles.
When a burning splinter is brought near to the gas released, a ‘pop’ sound is heard, indicating the presence of hydrogen gas, thus confirming the identity of acid.
